Season Honors
We had a great finish to our season and played especially well in our CAC Conference games. We finished in 2nd place and so with the #2 seed, hosted a playoff game and advanced to the CAC Final. 4 of our players were recognized by CAC coaches for their terrific 2016 seasons. Congratulations to these All-Conference Bobcats and all those Honored. More to come.....

The Post-Season
We've developed a long tradition here at FSU of playing important games in November. When we don't get the opportunity to play in the NCAA Tournament, the regional ECAC Tournament is a great way to celebrate the careers of our Seniors and gain important experience for our team. This year, we'll play in a familiar stadium near home for many of our players at Stevenson in Owings Mills, MD. Saturday's game is at 11am with the winners advancing to a Noon Sunday match.

It's Playoff Time!
We won our final 5 games allowing only 1 goal to secure the #2 seed in our upcoming CAC Conference Tournament. After advancing in a shootout on Wednesday night in the Semifinal, we will play for the CAC Championship on Sat. Nov 5th, at 5:30pm at CNU. You can follow our tournament at these links:

Senior Day!
It was a beautiful night for soccer at Frostburg State for Senior Day! What other people call crazy weather, we call home field advantage! 3 2nd half goals and another shutout give us good momentum heading into the final week of the regular season and into the Conference Tournament. We will not know our exact schedule until Wednesday night after our final game at 6pm but could host a game next Saturday here at FSU.

A Great Conference Rivalry
We really enjoy playing conference games in the CAC and all that they entail. We've created several important rivalries but none more important than with our cross-state rival at Salisbury University. They are good and that makes us better and we played very well on Saturday to get a result that really positions us for a home game in the CAC Tournament. We certainly have business to take care of in our 3-game homestand to finish the regular season, but we just had a great weekend on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Big Conference Games!
We won a very important conference game at Mary Washington on Wednesday when Mel Bell finished a great pass from Brooke Shehade to complete the 1-0 victory. Rhi Lapen earned the shutout in goal and our team played great defense all over the field. We host a very good CNU team this Saturday at home at 5pm as the big conference games keep coming!

A Good Start to Conference Play
We made it interesting but had a great finish to our first CAC game of 2016 and won 4-2 at home to start conference play this season. Haley Dalphon scored 3 times, Dani Ferris had a great header, and Brooke Shehade had 2 assists for our "parents weekend" game on a beautiful day for soccer in Bobcat Stadium. We have a tough non-conference matchup at home Wednesday night before traveling to Southern Maryland next weekend.

Playing good teams
If you want to be a good team, you have to play good teams that really challenge you. HeroSports has our schedule ranked as the 33rd toughest in the Nation in Division III, out of over 400 teams. As we enter conference play this weekend, we'll begin to find out if our tough schedule will pay dividends. Our home stand continues on Saturday at 2pm.

Big Win at Home!
A terrific comeback win tonight at home was well deserved on a beautiful night for soccer here at FSU! After an equalizing goal forced in by Bryce Papp just before halftime, Katie Broadhurst ran down a through ball in the 2nd half and calmly set up a wonderful left-footed strike. It was the game winner and the highlight appears on our YouTube page now. We are in a run playing 4 or 5 games at home and look to build momentum heading into conference play.

Growing Every Day!
We may have the toughest schedule in our history this year. We just played the #12 ranked team in the nation and proved we can compete with some of the best teams in Division III. Our players realize we will only get better, and get stronger, by playing teams that will challenge us week in and week out. We don't have a good team on the schedule this week, we have one every week! We do love playing night games in our stadium and we'll do that again on Wednesday night. We've started adding game clips on YouTube linked on the right column of this page and here:

A Great Game
AJ Malanik hit in a 40-yard free kick and Brooke Shehade opened her scoring account with a golden goal in overtime to secure our first win of 2016. It was a great comeback win away from home that gives us some needed momentum heading into the weekend. We'll be traveling to NJ this weekend for 2 games at Rutgers-Newark, both games kickoff at 1pm.

The 2016 Season is Underway!
We played a tough and physical Bridgewater team to open our season on Thursday night. It was a beautiful night for soccer but we learned a valuable lesson. You can win or lose a soccer game in any 1 of the 90 minutes. We did not have the best start and allowed a PK in the 75th second of the game. Although we played an even game the rest of the match and created a few good chances, that was the only goal of the night. We travel to D.C. for a game against a tough team at CUA on Sunday at 2pm.
