Great Goal in Bobcat Stadium!

In spite of a rough start this season in terms of the scorelines, there's evidence every week that we're improving as a team and can produce quality moments in our games.  This goal was a great example of the kind of team goal we aspire to produce in our stadium more often.  Great stuff from Gwen Schemm, Hailey Turney, and Emily Lehman.

College Soccer

It was a tough weekend in terms of results for our team.  We allowed a team to beat us that only earned 1 shot on goal and then played a tough New Jersey team in Montclair State that's going to win lots of games this year for sure.  Although, we are disappointed with the scoreboard, we're learning more about our team and getting better every day.    We also realize there are lots of ingredients in a team and our shared experiences on and off the field will help make us the best 'team' we can be.  Spending some team time in New York City for dinner, shopping, and pictures is always a bonus traveling in that region.
Home games this week and next in Bobcat Stadium!

Mother Nature

My relationship with Mother Nature is strained a bit after she canceled a game here at FSU for the first time in my 17 year career!  Rain fine, field fine, active lightning - not fine.  A pesky storm just hung around long enough to send everyone home.

Our opening game will now be Wednesday, Sept 5th - 2018 Season, here we come!

It was a great night to celebrate FSU Athletics and the wonderful careers of our Senior Class at the FSU All-Sports Awards Banquet.  We had a great year in women's soccer and one of our Seniors, Melanie Bell, was named the FSU Female Strength & Conditioning Athlete of the Year!   She was also a Co-Sida Academic All-American.

Relay for Life and Alumni Visit

A great weekend for FSUWS!  We were the top fundraising group for our FSU Relay for Life Cancer Fundraiser again this year.   We've raised over $15,000 for the American Cancer Society over 10 years through our campus Relay.
On Saturday, we had a great turnout for our annual Alumni Game.  It was terrific to see so many former players, some who have not been here for 10 years or more.  It's always a great way to finish our Spring season and semester.

Spring Time!?

We've had a great start to our Spring season in spite of the weather not really cooperating.  We had some late season snow fall and an occasional gale force wind!  But our players are focused on getting better every day whether we are on the turf, in the gym, or in the strength and fitness rooms!
First Day of Spring Season!
Always a beautiful day for soccer!

FSUWS had a remarkable 14 players selected to the Fall 2017 ECAC Honor Roll with 8 of those players earning 4.0s!  Congratulations!

Here's the story and our listing (only returning players were eligible):
