Relay for Life 2012!

On Friday night in our Stadium at FSU, the women's soccer team raised nearly $2000 on the way to an FSU total of near $60,000 for the American Cancer Society through the FSU Relay for Life effort.  Pictured here are members of the team as the Relay begins on Friday.

6 of our incoming recruited players also came up on Friday to participate in Relay events and visit with the team.

Spring Games and Relay for Life

We did very well on Sunday playing Shippensburg to a 1-1 draw before dropping a 1-0 contest to Millersville.  We defended well and created good chances to score against both Division 2 PSAC teams and it was the perfect kind of competition for us at this stage in the year.  Everyone left Sunday feeling great about the growth of our team and the upcoming Fall season.

One of the most meaningful days of our year is the Relay for Life fundraiser we participate in at FSU.  It begins at 6pm this Friday night in our Stadium as we help our campus raise thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society.  Click here to help our cause or learn more:

Spring Season 2012

FSU will play 2 teams in a Spring Play Day at Shippenburg in their soccer stadium on Sunday, April 22nd:
11:30 vs Shippensburg and 2:30 vs Millersville

In the meantime, the team is training in our Stadium 3 times a week but also participating in lots of campus events. For FSU's "D-III week", the team did a photo scavenger hunt and took some pictures:

New CCIT Building Well Underway

Our newest campus building is in progress and will be an awesome addition.  Replacing Tawes Hall in the center of campus, the new CCIT will house the Departments of Communications and Computer Science as well as many computer labs, classrooms, the FSU TV3 Station Studio and the WFWM Campus Radio Station.  It will also have a rooftop greenhouse and gardens visible from other buildings on campus.
