World Cup Semifinal Goal!
On very short notice, I decided to visit Montreal to see the US play Germany in the World Cup Semifinal. We ended up with front row seats to the moment of the match when Carli Lloyd came over to say "Hi" to our section.
Summer Camps!
We are proud to continue serving the local soccer community by offering summer day-camps here at FSU. A tradition that preceded our current coaches, FSU Soccer Day Camps have been running for at least 20 years on our campus. A couple pics from our recent June Day-Camp.

Did we Have a Good Year?
Yes!
We find out for sure every year when our final grades are calculated. We did win a Conference Championship but were also excellent in the classroom! Our semester and Annual Team GPA of 3.375 will earn our program the NSCAA Team Academic Award for an 8th consecutive year.
6 Players earned a Perfect 4.0 this semester -Katie Smith, Stephanie Fazenbaker, Melanie Bell, Emily Chapman, Nicole Gernert, and Jessa DiTullo. Another 5 earned a 3.5 or better and only 4 players from our fall roster of 26 did not have a 3.0 or better in the Spring semester. Congratulations to our players! They did have a Great Year!

The Alumni team did score 2 on the day but over the course of the match, the current team put 6 total goals in to show what quality players we have on the active roster. Some of our prospective players visited to watch the game as well so players in this photo span freshmen soccer classes from 2016 to 2004!

Spring Progress
We played a very good competitive Shippensburg team on a beautiful day for soccer in the FSU Stadium on Sunday. Despite conceding a slight possession advantage over the course of 90 minutes, we got a few better chances to score including the best chance when Erin Worthman used her pace to get to the endline and served a ball into the lap of Chelsie McCoy for the only goal of the game. Every player on the roster made a good contribution and our progress this Spring was pretty evident by the end of the day.

Celebrating a Championship!
Lots of fun things happen when you win Conference Championships! One is getting cool stuff to celebrate and commemorate the game and season and that particular Senior Class. The players chose this ring style this year.

So What's a Frostburg Degree Worth?
This is an important and valuable question. As an affordable State school, we often make the case that our graduates do have as many options and can fulfill their dreams and career ambitions after graduation, just as well as students that attend far more expensive schools.
Well, all 21 of our program's recent graduates have been eligible to attend graduate schools or earned immediate employment in the field of their choice. Here's a sampling of our most recent graduating class of FSU Women's Soccer players from 2014:
Adria Graham: Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Major in Athletic Training and is attending Chatham University in their Master's of Physician Assistant Program.
Chelsea Paskowski: Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Major in Exercise and Sport Science and Spanish Minor. She will attend Boston University enrolled in their Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
Kyrsten Buck: Graduated a semester early with a Major in Business Administration/Marketing and is now the Laboratory Product Manager for The Scale People, a maker of precision measurement instruments.
Courtney Mack: Graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Department Honors with a Major in Exercise and Sport Science and will enroll in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of South Florida.
