A Great Senior Day!

With today's win on Senior Day, we clinched a home game in the CAC Conference Tournament on Saturday, October 31st.  The details will be finalized on Thursday but we expect to host York College at 2pm in the FSU Stadium.  After a slow start today, we eventually scored several good goals and played every healthy player on a beautiful day for soccer at the 'burg!  Happy Sr Day!

Battling for First

After a terrific overall performance on Wednesday, we find ourselves undefeated in conference play and in a battle for first place in the CAC standings.  We've allowed only 1 goal in conference games so far as we head into a tough road game at St. Mary's who also sit atop the CAC table.  Looks like a great race to the regular-season finish.

Pink Game

Our team wears Pink in our October home games, in recognition that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The team supports the fight against cancer by participating annually in the FSU Relay for Life event held here in Bobcat Stadium each Spring. This year’s event is scheduled for April 29th.  For more information about Relay for Life at FSU and the fight for more birthdays, please visit: RelayforLife.Org/FSUMD

"Conference" Games

Playing in a conference like the CAC is terrific fun. We get to play teams in our region that are sometimes similar and always familiar to us.  We get to know the opposing teams and fields and styles of play and it creates some great rivalries and often epic games.  In our series with Salisbury since joining the CAC, only 1 game has been decided by more than a goal and we've had ties in 3 of our last 5 games.  Saturdays 0-0 draw at FSU showcased 2 athletic and physical teams battling it out for 110 minutes in the beautiful sun at Frostburg State.  Our YouTube channel shows a few great overtime chances that could have ending the game, but it was not to be.  As we battle in the CAC standings for our post-season placement, we travel to Marymount on Wednesday night before a visit to St. Mary's in Southern Maryland on Saturday.

A good 'bounce back'?

After the start of a season that yielded some real mixed results, we have begun our conference season winning 2 regular-season CAC games that we did not win just last year!  2 away wins and 2 shutouts to start conference play as our team bounces back from some early season adversity.  We are learning and growing as a team every week and hope to continue improving as we finally get to host a few games after a 5-game road swing.  Harrisburg visits Wednesday night and our rivals from across the state will visit us Saturday.
