Relay for Life and Alumni Game
FSUWS raised over $1100 for cancer research and patient care at the 2017 FSU Relay for Life event this past Friday night. On Saturday, a terrific alumni group of players visited FSU for our annual Alumni game. Goals by Nikki Rieland and Brooke Longo were not enough to overcome the spirited current FSU team who prevailed in the game 5-2. A great weekend to support a meaningful fundraiser and celebrate our women's soccer graduates.

Shelby Strong!
Shelby Roelke is a first year player on our team that was in a car accident in January. She suffered a significant head injury and is recovering in a rehab hospital outside of Philadelphia. Her condition improves daily and anyone who knows Shelby knows that she quickly became the most popular and hard working patient at the Bryn Mawr Hospital!
Several fundraisers have been held by friends and family to help Shelby's immediate family with medical costs and travel expenses. Below, our team wears "Shelby Strong" tees in our new Team Room at FSU. Our entire FSUWS family wishes Shelby a successful and speedy recovery.

Very proud that we have both a quality AND disciplined team here at FSU. We consistently win the NSCAA Ethics Award by respecting officials and opponents, managing our emotions, and letting our soccer speak for itself.

The Post-Season
We've developed a long tradition here at FSU of playing important games in November. When we don't get the opportunity to play in the NCAA Tournament, the regional ECAC Tournament is a great way to celebrate the careers of our Seniors and gain important experience for our team. This year, we'll play in a familiar stadium near home for many of our players at Stevenson in Owings Mills, MD. Saturday's game is at 11am with the winners advancing to a Noon Sunday match.
