Amazing Semester in the Classroom!

Did we have a good year?  is a question that is never completely answered until all the grades come in after the academic year. Well, our players continue to set the bar higher and higher as 21 of our 23 enrolled players from the Fall roster earned a 3.0 or better GPA. (One graduated early and another was in a study-abroad program in Italy). The Team GPA was a 3.409 for the Spring and over both semesters the team collectively earned a 3.382 annual GPA.  This outstanding number will easily qualify our team for the NSCAA Team Academic Award for a 7th year in a row. The team average was supported by 5 players earning perfect 4.0s - Katie Smith, Chelsea Paskowski, Samantha Ritts, Courtney Mack, and Stephanie Fazenbaker - all had perfect semester GPAs! 4 more players earned a 3.8 or better GPA with only 1 B grade this Spring.

We have terrific players AND outstanding students here at FSU!

Graduation Day!

It was a beautiful day at the 'burg today, especially for our graduating Seniors!  Adria Graham was selected by the College of Education to speak on behalf of her graduating class.  Quite an honor and she gave a wonderful speech.  Congrats Class of 2014!!

Senior Day at the Yard!

We usually have a nice lunch to celebrate graduation for our soccer Seniors before they walk at Commencement and begin the next chapter of their lives with Degrees in hand.  This year, we decided to take a field trip to a rare midweek day game at Camden Yards.  A great day and Congrats to our Soccer Seniors!

All Sports Awards Dinner

The players and then our Seniors posed at our last official team function of the school year - the FSU All-Sports Awards dinner.  Senior Courtney Mack was honored as our overall team MVP.

Beautify The Burg!

Our team spent several hours this past weekend participating in a Frostburg city-wide service effort to beautify our town and community called "Beautify the 'burg".  The girls were assigned the Frostburg Community pool area and had more fun than any other group Saturday morning!

A Beautiful Day for Soccer!

Another beautiful day for soccer in Frostburg as our current FSU team took on a very good Alumni team in Bobcat Stadium on Saturday afternoon.  The current team's sharpness was evident as Brook Longo opened the scoring and Steph Fazenbaker added a hat trick before the alumni got one back in the closing minutes through Liz Seligman.

Relay for Life 2014

Our campus Relay for Life event is a very meaningful cancer fundraiser that our team takes seriously every year.  This year, Jen Tyrell led the entire campus in individual donations and FSU Women's Soccer raised the 4th highest amount among student groups and was the highest earning athletic team again this year.  The team is shown here at the Relay kickoff in the Cordts PE Center.

Spring Play Day!

Over 2 Spring games and 120 minutes we did not allow a goal on Saturday defeating Chestnut Hill 2-0 and playing Shippensburg to a 0-0 draw.  It was a beautiful day for soccer and a terrific way to send off our Seniors in their last competitive college game at Frostburg State.  We look forward to our Alumni Weekend on April 26th to conclude our Spring season.

First Spring Practice

A Beautiful Day for Soccer in the FSU stadium on Monday for our first Spring practice!  The players posed in our new Stadium and press box that includes a few hundred brand new seats.

Spring Dates Announced!

We'll play in a multi-team playday at Shippensburg, PA this Spring and host our annual Alumni game and picnic after the FSU Relay for Life fundraiser event in our Stadium this Spring.

April 12th - Play-Day at Shippenburg Univ. 2:15 vs Chestnut Hill, 3:30 vs Shippensburg
April 25th - Relay for Life in the FSU Stadium
