It's Playoff Time!

The post-season is a special time. You have to earn your invitation and you have to be good. There is plenty of pressure and anxiety but the teams that handle that best and really want to continue their seasons, often rise to the occasion.  We have a great opportunity to play several rematches with CAC teams including opening with York at home this Saturday.  It should be a beautiful day for soccer at FSU!

Celebrating our Seniors!

Saturday at 2:00pm in the FSU Stadium we will kickoff our final regular season home game by honoring 2 very special women's soccer players - our 2014 Seniors!
Katie Smith is one of the best goalkeepers in FSU Women's Soccer history and ranks in the top-5 in 10 statistical categories.
Stephanie Fazenbaker is a 2-Time Academic All-American and All-CAC player.
Both will graduate with Honors in May and pursue enrollment in professional schools next year.

Night Games at FSU

Having a stadium with turf and lights means our players get to compete when many other teams in the region get 'rained out' and our parents get to see lots of our games with start times after dinner.  This week when the region was engulfed by a major storm, we got all our practices and games in.  On Wednesday, we got one of the terrific sunsets we often get as we warm up for a night game at FSU.

Importance of Conference Games

We secured 6 more points this week in our quest to achieve all our goals in conference play this year.  First, of course is to qualify for the tournament by finishing in the top 6.  Second, we want a high seed and to earn some additional home games at FSU, the Semifinal or even the Final. And of course, we want to be prepared and competitive in November in that conference tournament as the winner punches their ticket to the NCAA Championships.  Another tough test is on the horizon this week when York visits on Wednesday at 7pm.
