The Importance of Conference Games
Our season was right on track this week as 5 different players scored a total of 10 goals in 2 big home wins. The 2nd of which, on Saturday, was our first conference contest of 2013 as we defeated Wesley 4-0. That result puts us at the top of the CAC Standings after the first round of conference games. Every game we win in the CAC puts us closer to accomplishing our seasonal goals of qualifying for the tournament (6 teams), hosting a home game in the CAC Tournament (4 teams), and hosting the CAC Final (1 team). Another CAC home game awaits on Wednesday this week before we travel for 3 important conference games on the road.

Soccer Road Trips
When we travel to represent our wonderful college on the pitch, we also try to see some of the extraordinary things in this great country of ours. On our recent trip to the New York area, we took some time to visit the Statue of Liberty as a team. Recently reopened since Hurricane Sandy caused so much damage, we felt fortunate to get up close to this great American symbol. It's a privilege to play the beautiful game in such a beautiful country.

Win in Home Opener!
We scored early and kept the pressure on Washington and Jefferson Tuesday evening on a beautiful night for soccer at Frostburg State. Adria Graham, Chelsie McCoy, and Steph Fazenbaker each scored and Katie Smith earned the shutout in goal for a complete 3-0 effort. A great way to start our home campaign as our team's energy and work rate were terrific. A big game at Gettysburg awaits on Saturday night.
